Buffer for Twitter and Social Media Scheduling App Reviews

24 Customer Reviews:

I use this app often. Now with Yosemite it were nicer to have buffer in the share menu to fill in the URL right from the browser instead of copy/paste it.

Good finally. But so far no Linkedin integration, just Twitter

I found this app as a way to publish announcements across all social media accounts that I have to help promote my store. Sadly this app seems to have been left to mothballs. The website is nice, dynamic and not at all glitchy like this very underdeveloped app is. Maybe with a lot of work it can be a nice as the site it’s self, but until then it’s next to useless for what I’d like to do so I’m going to use the website instead for now.

Buffer for Mac app is beautiful, should be developed. Examples: - “Share now” and “Schedule” button. - Post with image upload / drag&drop from folder (amazing!) - Shorting link in the app instantly. - “Scheduled post list” in the app and edit. So for now :) thanks a lot!

Whoops! Something is not working because when I try to launch this app from either Launchpad or Finder, nothing happens. I am waiting for the update. Somebody has egg on their face.

Doesn’t work !!!!!

Yep ! Doesn’t work with a HOOT !!! Why do you let Apps like this into your App store when they don’t work at all ???

I’m as big a fan of Buffer as anyone, but when I downloaded it, Buffer appeared . . . yet wouldn’t launch. Not from my Apps folder in my Finder and not from Launchpad, either. Calling Buffer, come in Buffer . . .

Buggy

I would like to write a proper review for this app, but I cannot open it. Very disapointed.

I think a lot of complaints about Buffer not launching are because nothing “seems” to happen, but it does launch into the system tray at the top. I could log-in with my twitter account, and successfully post…but, I’m not sure how to add accounts, or really make any changes whatsoever. Seems like this is still a very early stage app, only capable of posting to ONE twitter account. Could not figure out for the life of me how to add other social media accounts. The “Settings” only include three items: Quit, Sign-out and Open at Login. Open at login doesn’t work, just gives an error message that it couldn’t be added to login items list. Meh…lots of potential here to make a great app; I love the minimalist design. But it actually needs to have more than minimal functionality.

All the negative reviews have failed to look at the screenshot above. I was clicking launch, over and over, and even re-started my computer, and I thought what is going on? I looked at screenshot above and then I looked in the top bar of my screen and realized it was there. Success! I like this because I can compose tweets here on the Desktop page, and I can see them in my queue on my iPhone app so if I need to edit later on the go, it makes it easy! Nice app!

I’m looking forward to when this app works as well as the web based version works. It would be nice to be able to add and manage muliple accounts. Besides that; it’s cool. I’d say download it if you have one twitter account and you want to schedule your posts. can’t wait for the updates to start rolling in…cheers!

It would be nice if the buffer app grabbed the current URL, page title and a screen shot. This would improve workflow tremendously. Right now, this is all a manual process so, the app isn’t that useful. With some simple updates, this app could save us a LOT of time! I’m a Buffer subscriber and use the web system only, not this app.

Update

Thanks for the update. Would be great to get scheduling on here at some point.

I love the idea of Buffer. But this App is not functional as expected even with the latest update. It still, crashes, sometimes accepts images (drag n’ drop) sometimes doesn’t, and I cant schedule post from it. OS is Yosemite v.10.10.3 on MBA 11” 2014 model.

I’m using Yosemite build 10.10.4. It no worky man. It also looks like it would handle more than one account, but there’s nowhere to add a second account. That’s a moot point anyway because I composed a test tweet and added it to the Queue. Well that was the end of it. I thought I’d be allowed to set a time to post the Tweet, but you just get “Share Now” and “Share Later”. I tried “Share Now” and nothing happened.
